Gordon's Personal Website
Welcome >
Welcome to my web site, and to this little section about me. By now you have probably skipped most of the options and chose this as the last link, I hope that you have enjoyed it immensely so far if not, I'm sorry for wasting your time. Anyway enough of my babble, here follows a little bit about me, I can't promise anything earth shattering but here goes. I am thirty six years old and was born and brought up in Scotland and moved down to Manchester in north west England, Uk, in late 1994 to start a new life for myself and been here ever since. I have only been back to Scotland 3 times in the last 13 years. In February 2000 I finally got the chance to do what I have always wanted and that was travelling. I visited Boston in America for a month and had a great time, it was such a great experience and would love to travel there again as it is such a relaxed and safe city, and has so much history attached to it. On my return I went to Holland (Nederland) and spent a year there and despite its small size had a really nice time there and was able to explore much more of Europe from there and not worry about getting off an Island like the Uk.. Since then I have travelled to other countries but you can see that by clicking on the travel link.

Well it's about time that you found out about things that I like, dislike, and things that I quite frankly can't stand. First of all I will tell you about the things that I don't like. I don't like getting up in the morning it's such a killer. It's bad enough most mornings in actual fact all mornings, I wake up when my alarm goes off and switch it back off and fall asleep again. One reason could be that I do not go to sleep till about 2am, but that is more because I am more a night than day person. Another thing I don't like is sport, it just does nothing for me, I just don't understand the concept of grown men kicking a ball (soccer/football) around and find it pleasurable.I'd rather just listen to the radio than watch or participate in any sport, however I will watch the F1 Grand Prix, would love to actually be at the trackside to get the full benefit of it ( Although I am British I do not support the british drivers ), snooker (pool), and the more unusual sports that are occasionally shown on tv, but in general sport is a major turn off as was not brought up with sport so don't miss it.....I may make a slight exception if someone I loved was into sport, but don't quote me on that, it really does depend on the situation I am in, but whatever the time and place you will never get me to a football ground, except maybe baseball or American football.

Now that you have heard a bit about what I don't like now for a few of the little things in life that I do enjoy. I enjoy all the usual things such as nights out for a nice meal, walks in the countryside, cycle runs, hiking, camping and exploring. Television is also a big like for me, I could not survive if I did not have a Tv (well just), it is on most of the time in my flat I like a lot of things, especially a lot of BBC comedy, and American Talk Shows but CSI and Law & Order along with the Uk The Bill are my current favorites. People that really make me laugh are the Uk comedians Jasper Carrott, Rory Bremner and actor Leslie Neilson. I tend to go for the sick kind of humor it makes me laugh a lot. On a more serious note I also enjoy wildlife programs by the BBC Natural history unit, Big Cat Diary, Spring/Autumn watch, consumer programs and the various docu-soap series that follow the life of public organizations. I am not really a reader of books I lose interest too quickly with them..
